Color Story: Bright amethyst, magenta-purple with jewel-tone saturation; lively, playful, and electric.
Best For: High-intensity garden color, early-season market bouquets, and those seeking a "workhorse" variety that blooms continuously
Vase Life: 4-7 days
Notes:This unique novelty form features layers of narrow, pointed petals that create a starburst effect. These bloomed so prolifically it was hard for me to keep up with this row’s production. Toward the end of the season, I stopped fighting and let them create a sea of purple.
Dahlias thrive in full sun and warm soil (above 50°F). Depending on how many you intend to plant you can either dig a trench or individual holes. Place tubers about 4-6” deep horizontally with the eye/sprout facing up (if visible) and cover lightly with soil. If potting up indoors first, you can plant with neck above the soil line so you can monitor sprouting. Avoid watering until shoots emerge to prevent rot. Once established, they’ll bloom nonstop until frost.
