Late summer is beginning to give way to fall in the garden, and Box 8 brings a little of both seasons home. This week’s box is packed with delicata and Long de Nice squash, the first fall beets and radishes, a whole mess of peppers, tomatoes in every shape and color, cured garlic, tender greens, fresh herbs, and a few farm-made treats.

The garden is beginning its slow turn toward fall, but there’s still plenty of summer tucked into this week’s CSA box. We’re sending our final potato variety of the season, beautiful cauliflower, tomatoes in three forms, fresh onions, peppers, Ping Tung eggplant and more—along with a few farm-made treats and bouquets filled with dahlias, goldenrod, zinnias and asters. CSA Box #6 is bringing the flavor to the table with fresh edamame, rutabagas, broccoli or cauliflower, eggplant, cucumbers, herbs, cured garlic, flowers, and farm-made enchilada sauce and chili crisp. Plus, a peek behind the scenes at the unpredictable ebb and flow of the harvest.
