The Joy of Growing
Springtime Plant Starts & the Magic of Your Own Garden
There’s something magical about spring. The moment the soil warms and the days brighten, everything starts to feel possible again. And for many of us, the garden is where that magic truly takes root.
Growing up, we always had some kind of garden. My grandpa was an avid gardener and managed to fit fruit trees, grapevines, and a vegetable patch on a small neighborhood lot. I loved picking ripe tomatoes or helping him water, simple tasks that gave me purpose. As I got older, it didn’t matter if it was a windowsill or a few pots on a porch, there was always room for something to grow. Watching a seed sprout, and tending it through the season, is a joy that’s hard to describe. Turning that harvest into something delicious in the kitchen is a magic worthy of celebration. It’s grounding. It’s hopeful. It connects us to the earth and to each other.
Gardening isn’t just about the harvest. It’s about the ritual. The smell of fresh soil and the dirt under your fingernails. The first basil sprig of summer. The thrill of checking your cucumbers “just in case they doubled overnight.” The pride of putting something on the table that you nurtured from start to finish.
This spring, and in the seasons to come, we are excited to offer a selection of farm grown plant starts as part of our annual rhythm on the farm. These healthy, hardy seedlings are raised with organic practices and selected for flavor, resilience, and joy in the garden.
Each year, we look forward to growing this offering and continuing to expand it. We are especially excited to introduce more native plants over time, supporting not just our gardens but the pollinators and ecosystems that make them thrive.
Whether you are a first time gardener or someone who has been planting for years, we hope our plants and this space bring inspiration to your growing season.
If you would like to stay connected, we invite you to follow along and join our newsletter. That is the best way to hear about future plant sales, seasonal offerings, and what is happening on the farm throughout the year.
